The company had a job opening for a Laboratory Manager for months. Earlier efforts to hire a new Manager for this laboratory were not successful. The company asked us to meet with the line manager and HR to discuss the vacancy and see if we could help them fill the vacancy.
Search Strategy
With our prior experience in chemical plants we asked in depth questions about the Laboratory as well as the Process Unit. This way we discovered the Lab was not the typical production lab. Instead of managing high volumes of tests in compliance with pre-set standards the candidate needed to develop in depth analysis and risk assessment... This business had implications for the work as well as the skill-set needed for this role. The client was impressed with our expertise and solution and granted us the assignment. We rewrote the job profile focussing on the content of the work instead of the managerial tasks.
Results
Pantapasin International targeted a new group of candidates and introduced two talented individuals. One of them was issued the offer for the position of Manager Analysis.
