Technical Asset Manager - i540

Improving reliability site-wide

Job Description:

As member of the Management Team you report to the General Manager. You are leading the technical services team consisting of the Maintenance Manager, the Purchasing Manager, the IT Manager and a 24/7 service team. Most of the maintenance, the revisions and new developments are under contract, so you work closely with site contractors to manage resources levels and to ensure that priorities are communicated and understood. This way you achieve maximum reliability of operational production equipment within budget and timeframe. Your varied brief also includes leading a comprehensive technical program and driving continuous improvement. You are able to recognize and capitalize on the diversity of strengths within the organization, to develop a high performance services organization within terms of structure, manpower, procedures and cost effectiveness. Moreover, you implement site processes to ensure that maintenance and project work across the site is conducted in a safe, responsible and environmentally sound manner in compliance with applicable technical and engineering standards while meeting all regulatory and legal requirements. Also, you are responsible for efficient purchasing and handling technical claims processes. Utilizing your vision and drive you facilitate, influence, make decisions, coach and provide leadership to technical and maintenance personnel to achieve desired performance and skill development.


Requirements:

  • Technical degree (BSc), preferably in mechanical engineering or marine engineering, with experience in project management and business engineering.
  • Strong reliability background, excellent awareness of the content of maintenance
  • Experience in directing subcontractors
  • Experience in implementing overall improvement programs (TPM, World Class Management, improvement teams) and cultural change
  • Pro-active mindset, showing initiative, entrepreneurial flair, customer focus
  • Well-grounded problem solver with creativity and cross functional teamwork skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English; German is a plus
