Jolanda M.C. Bijl

Devoted to recruitment since 1985, Jolanda has spent most of her professional life in Executive Search. After her MA in Law at Leiden University she joined Shell to be appointed as recruiter in their only upstream operating company in The Netherlands, NAM.

In 1987 Jolanda decided to broaden her horizon and traveled extensively through the world, having her first commercial experience in Sydney, Australia.

After her return to Holland she started working as a recruitment consultant in a Dutch recruitment firm in Rotterdam. In the summer of 1991 she joined a new European recruitment organization as Senior Consultant. Contributing to growing a chain of offices throughout Europe, she worked in Belgium, France, Germany and the UK.

In 1993, when the Dutch Country Manager left, the Board asked Jolanda to step into his role. This was a recession period, but the Dutch office flourished, being especially active in the Chemical, Automotive and ICT branches. In those days Eastern Europe opened up and she assisted her fellow Country Managers in fulfilling positions in Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia.

In 1995 she decided to start her own business, Pantapasin International. Her team, based in Rotterdam, is geared up to source high caliber candidates for management positions in Europe and beyond.

Jolanda is fluent in Dutch and English; she also speaks good German, French and Spanish.
