The company is looking for a result-driven leader to drive the site's Engineering & SHE team and manage its Capital Investment Programs.

Job description: The Engineering Manager is an inspiring leader for a team of eight professionals in the field of Process Engineering, Project Engineering and Health, Safety and Environment. Your primary responsibility is to manage the control, delivery, execution and proper closure of the site's process engineering and capital investment programs in close conjunction with the site commercial and manufacturing functions. Managing both internal teams and third party activities, you ensure development of BOD (basis of design), CP's, procurement, commission and validation of capital investments. Utilizing your technical capabilities and strategic project management skills you provide projects with adequate resources, monitor progress and complete projects within constraints of functionality, expenditure, production interference and lead time. You personally manage larger and more complex development and maintenance capital replacement projects. Moreover you ensure process safety and licence-to-operate environmental engineering. You team up with R&D for regulatory compliance and with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and asset management strategies. With your flexibility and talent to improvise you overcome unexpected situations and keep all parties informed and committed to deliver upon agreed objectives. You show excellence in all your endeavours, challenging your team to share best practices and contributing to corporate objectives.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Engineering or Bachelor degree with training in Project Management
  • 8 - 10 years experience in project management of EPC (Engineering, procurement and commissioning) projects in the process industry. Several years experience in a managerial role desired
  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success
  • Excellent project management, planning and negotiating skills. Ability to oversee and manage multiple priorities
  • ‘Can do' mentality, ability to think out of the box, showing a lot of initiative and creativity
  • Result driven, flexible and adaptable. Able to improvise and perform in stressful conditions
  • Teambuilding and coaching skills. Lead teams to meet and exceed agreed objectives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Good command of English and Dutch. Knowledge of German is a plus
