Client: Our client is a successful Business Unit of a global multinational in the food industry. With approximately 20.000 employees across EMEA, America and Asia Pacific generates revenues of over € 4,5 billion. The Business Unit brings a number of important new technology platforms to the Group. Utilizing a systems approach to opportunities and creating synergy by combining technologies are two key drivers for its success. The increasing focus on health, nutrition and food safety offers exciting growth opportunities. The company is looking for an outstanding leader to drive the plant's operational performance to new heights.
Job description: Reporting to the Business Unit Director you drive the performance objectives of the non-stop production plant. You provide direction and leadership to approximately 85 employees and are their visionary leader. Your varied brief includes ensuring reliable, safe and cost effective operations. Moreover, you maintain good manufacturing practices, monitor product quality and regulatory compliance. You develop smooth manufacturing and supply relations with third party producers and tollers. With your passion for excellence you build successful teams and keep team spirit high even in stressful conditions. You review plant performance to align the operational activities to the needs of the market place and drive continuous improvement and cost saving programs. Utilising your sharp analysis and result-driven approach you present independent and information based views in the Site Leadership Team, influence company direction and drive exceptional performance. You take part in meetings with the works council to communicate strategy, operational plans and results and you are the focal point for external stakeholders.
Requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 7 - 10 years relevant experience in Food or Process Manufacturing. Several years experience in a Production Leadership role. Demonstrated track record of excellence in managing manpower, costs, output and QESH targets
- People manager with strong focus on safety, total quality and ‘best in class' performance
- Decisive personality with hands-on approach and relentless drive for customer satisfaction
- A true leader – able to inspire and lead from the front. Empowering and coaching teams and individuals to utilize and develop skills
- Result driven and fact based. Able to apply logical thinking and drive continuous improvement using KPIs and business systems approach.
- Communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English and Dutch
