Job description: Reporting to the Commercial Director you generate profitable business for Terminal Services in the designated area, by identifying as many opportunities to tender as possible, in order to increase market share and revenue. You analyze market trends and develop account strategies to ensure our client is in a key position to pre-qualify. You recognize interesting sales opportunities on the medium and long term. Furthermore you establish contact with key decision makers, initiate meetings and ensure prompt follow up while driving performance and achievement of commercial targets. Additionally you make sure that documents are prepared and delivered in time, ensuring qualification and a competitive proposal. Your success in establishing long-standing relationships with clients is tied to customer focus and entrepreneurial flair, whilst you secure timely and accurate reporting to management. Your sharp analysis and creative solutions impress demanding clients.
The criteria for the position are stringent. You need:
- Relevant business or technical degree
At least 5-7 years working experience with a minimum of 2–3 years commercial experience, preferably in the marine business - Experience in a project environment, where new projects have a long lead time
- Self-starter with a consistent track record of high achievement and ability to work without constant supervision
- Dynamic personality with strong vision and spine, eager and result driven but patient at the same time
- Strong negotiator with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Capable of organizing multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities. Attention to planning and detail
- Fluency in English, both oral and in writing; other languages are a plus
- Willingness to e-work and travel extensively, at least 40% of your time
