Client: Our client is a successful Business Unit of an ambitious leader in the global food ingredients and flavours market and a branded consumer foods processing and marketing organisation. Our client is looking for an outstanding Factory Manager to drive the plant's operational performance to new heights and to achieve its ambitious growth objectives.
Job description: In this demanding role you drive the operational performance of the plant. You provide direction and leadership to approximately 35 employees in the departments Production, Quality Control and Maintenance & Engineering. Your varied brief includes ensuring reliable, safe and cost effective operations. You manage and improve operational standards (GMP, HACCP, SHE) and you ensure Kerry delivers to customers on spec, in time and at least costs. Being their visionary leader and change agent you align the operational activities to the needs of the market place and drive continuous improvement and cost saving programs. With your passion for excellence you build successful teams and keep team spirit high even under stressful conditions. Utilising your helicopter view and forward thinking you present independent and information based views in the Management Team and influence future direction. You enjoy teaming up with diverse disciplines and nationalities within the Kerry Group to share ‘best in class' results, challenge constraints and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Food Science or Technology
- 7 - 10 years relevant experience in Food Manufacturing. Minimum of three years experience in a leadership role
- People manager with demonstrated track record of excellence in managing manpower, output, costs and QEHS targets
- Decisive and tenacious personality with hands-on approach and sense of urgency
- A true leader – able to inspire and lead from the front. Empowering and developing successful teams and valuing diversity in experience and skills
- Change agent with focus on manufacturing excellence. Able to set priorities and implement continuous improvements using KPIs and business systems approach
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English and Dutch
