Client: Our US-based client has obtained an excellent reputation as a global manufacturer of superior technical and proprietary niche market products, systems and solutions in the field. The company has set outstanding records of profitable growth to date and is well positioned for further expansion on a global basis. With this goal the regional headquarters, based in The Netherlands, is busy reengineering its European and Asian sales and marketing team. To realize change the need has arisen to recruit a talented business group manager.

Job description: Reporting directly to the General Manager Europe / Asia you lead the Business Group Facility Electrical Protection in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. Your varied brief includes developing and implementing all aspects of the sales and marketing strategy for the FEP Business Group and the achievement of annual financial performance targets, with total profit and loss responsibility. You will provide strong leadership for your team of 32 staff, co-ordinating divisional activities within the region and worldwide. You are able to determine cross-functional chances and identify acquisition candidates.

Requirements:
· University degree in engineering; preferably also an MBA or equivalent
· 10+ years of experience in a sales and marketing leadership position over a broad geographic base, with a successful demonstrated track record of exceptional results
· Dynamic hands-on personality, with strong vision and spine, tough decision maker and taskmaster, with analysis and empathy
· Excellent leadership skills, able to increase team spirit
· Fluent written and spoken English; preferably also fluent in French, German, Cantonese or Mandarin
· Willingness to travel
