Client: Our publicly held US-based client has obtained an excellent reputation as a world-class manufacturer and supplier of high technology equipment and solutions. Since the beginning of operations in the seventies, the company has broadened its business by expanding distribution channels and extending product lines through internal development and strategic acquisitions. To optimize the logistics operations in the heart of The Netherlands and prioritize strategic issues across Europe the need has arisen to recruit a talented Manager Logistics Europe.

Job description: Reporting directly to the Manager Worldwide Logistics Support you provide high quality materials support for all service operations at customer locations. Your varied brief includes business planning, analysis and management support to ensure successful execution of all logistics programs in Europe. Enhancing the interest of the company you define, develop and implement logistics support standards, systems and processes. You work closely with Sales and Account Management to improve customer relations and ensure the agreed service levels are met. Coaching a team of ten you develop a logistics organization that will set industry performance standards for which others must emulate.

Requirements:
· BSc or MSc in Business Management or Logistics, advanced studies are a plus (e.g. APICS)
· 5 - 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a leading logistics role, preferably within a high-tech environment
· knowledge of advanced logistics planning and distribution systems
· self-starter with strong vision and demonstrated leadership skills
· outstanding negotiator with high intellect and customer focus
· analytic and flexible approach, ability to manage multiple priorities and cope with different cultures
· fluency in English, both orally and in writing; other languages are a plus
· willingness to travel
