Client: Our US-based client has obtained an excellent reputation as a global manufacturer of superior technical and proprietary niche market products, systems and solutions for the electrical and building industry. The company has set outstanding records of profitable growth to date and is well positioned for further expansion on a global basis. With this goal the European & Asian headquarters, based in The Netherlands, is busy reengineering its European team.

Job description: Working closely with senior management on a wide range of strategic, and finance projects that drive the company's EMEA business further. Responsibilities are:
· Assist the global Merger & Acquisition Manager in executing business development opportunities through alliances, acquisitions, JV's, equity investments etc. by conducting research, evaluations and opportunity analysis and manage the post acquisition phase until such time as the entity is integrated, interim management found etc.
· Take into account business issues that drive the company's performance, showing corporate, operational and strategic initiatives.
· Responsible for feasibility studies, competitor analysis and management reviews.
· Monitor the performance of new subsidiaries, implement the company's business systems and suggest improvements where applicable.
· Reorganize and improve structures and procedures.
· Drive organic growth by seeking out new business opportunities in markets in which our client does not currently operate or has only speculative sales.

Requirements:
· A degree in finance, preferably also MBA or equivalent.
· 3+ years of post-qualification project or contract management experience, preferably within an international technical/industrial environment.
· Extensive background or hands-on experience in developing and implementing logistic, IS, engineering or finance methodologies.
· Experience with diverse cultures and multiple sites is preferred.
· Dynamic and energetic personality with strong vision and spine, execution driven, taskmaster
· High intellect with proven ability to translate theory into practice
· Strong leadership skills coupled with a strong can-do service mentality and sense of urgency.
· Ability to manage multiple projects in a broad set of disciplines, taking responsibility for own actions; cross functional ability is paramount.
· Diplomatic and flexible approach, empathy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers and management
· Equipped with financial and commercial astuteness
· Fluency in English; any other language is a plus.

Location: Southern Holland: probably 50 % of the time will be spent travelling through the region.
