Job description: Reporting to the Global Business Manager or to the Marketing Manager you grow profitable business from scratch and realize business development to our client's standards and to the complete satisfaction of the international customers. Your varied brief includes analyzing market trends and identifying customer needs, which you translate into new business opportunities in close cooperation with the R&D and manufacturing organization in Germany. This way you are able to develop and implement in-depth account strategies within customers' organizations. You target, evaluate and secure market opportunities, implementing and providing commercial leadership for new development projects. Furthermore you establish contact with key decision makers, initiate meetings and ensure prompt follow up. Your excellent product knowledge and lateral thinking ensure you can recommend and implement new systems and ways of working to enhance customer satisfaction, even become their preferred development partner. Your success in establishing long-standing relationships with clients is tied to customer focus and entrepreneurial flair. Your sharp analysis and creative solutions impress demanding clients.
Requirements:
- University degree in inorganic chemistry; PhD is a plus.

Minimum three to five years working experience in a similar role, preferably gained in both a research organization and (technical) marketing organization in the personal care or in the catalysis industry.
- Self-starter with a consistent track record of high achievement, who is able to work without a high level of supervision and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
- Good understanding of customer needs and ability to translate this into a sharp project proposal; excellent negotiator.

Dynamic, accurate personality with high sense of urgency and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and German; other European languages are an asset.
- Multicultural experience.
- Prepared to work from home; willingness to travel 50-60% , mostly in Europe.
